Across the Universe

The most important event for The Beatles fans in the world. Since 1984, this festival brings together the best bands dedicated to paying tribute to the Fab Four. This event takes place during a week in the cradle of The Beatles: the Cavern Club in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

We represented Colombia and Latin America at this festival in 2019, 2020 , and 2023 with 70 bands from around the world. We performed (2019, 2023 e.a.) ten times (and more than 570songs!) on several stages for seven days. Within the presentations few songs of The Beatles were versioned integrating the tiple, Colombian folk musical instrument. It is the second Colombian band to participate in the International Beatleweek.

El evento más importante para los fans de The Beatles en el mundo. Desde 1984, este festival reúne a las mejores bandas dedicadas a rendir homenaje a los Fab Four. Este evento se lleva a cabo durante una semana en la cuna de The Beatles: el Cavern Club en Liverpool, Reino Unido.

Representamos a Colombia y Latinoamérica en este festival en 2019, 2020 y 2023 con 70 bandas de todo el mundo. Actuamos diez veces (¡con más de 50 canciones cada año!) en varios escenarios durante siete días. Dentro de las presentaciones se versionaron algunas canciones de The Beatles integrando el tiple, instrumento musical popular colombiano. Es la segunda banda colombiana en participar en la International Beatleweek.

A phone call was enough for John Tosco to convince us to heed his kind invitation, to travel to Charlotte and participate in this beautiful Festival. We had the honor of meeting John, his beautiful city and sharing the stage with many talented artists full of good vibes invited to the Festival. We were also able to share incredible moments with a living rock legend: Badfinger’s Joey Molland.

We performed a medley of “I Am The Walrus” and “A Day in the Life” — the first time in 17 years that any act performed “I Am The Walrus” at Tosco Music Beatles Tribute!

Una llamada telefónica fue suficiente para que John Tosco nos convenciera de atender su amable invitación, para que viajáramos hasta Charlotte y participar en este lindísimo Festival. Tuvimos el honor de conocer a John, su linda ciudad y compartir escenario con muchos talentosos artistas llenos de buena onda invitados al Festival. Además pudimos compartir momentos increíbles con una leyenda viva del Rock: Joey Molland de Badfinger.

Interpretamos un popurrí de “I Am The Walrus” y “A Day in the Life”, ¡la primera vez en 17 años que un grupo interpretó “I Am The Walrus” en el FabFest!

We traveled to Argentina for the first time to represent Colombia in the 13th Latin America BeatleWeek in December 2013. In a short break from the band, David was participating in this same festival in 2016, and won the mention of honor for best drummer of that event. In edition number 18 (2018), We represented our country again, this time winning the contest, sharing the stage with other bands from Argentina, Chile, Guatemala and Paraguay; in total 8 bands in competition in the semifinals. In addition, artists and guest bands from Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, England and Uruguay attended.

Latin America BeatleWeek since 2001 is the most important event on the continent that summons bands to The Beatles tribute to compete for two places to participate in the most important Beatle event in the world: the International Beatleweek Festival held in the city native of The Beatles: Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Viajamos a Argentina por primera vez para representar a Colombia en la 13º Semana Beatle Latinoamérica que se desarrolló en diciembre de 2013 en Buenos Aires. En una corta pausa de la banda, David estuvo participando en el 2016 de este mismo festival, ganando así la mención de honor a mejor baterista de ese certámen. En la edición número 18 (2018), representamos al país de nuevo, esta vez ganando el concurso, compartiendo escenario con otras bandas participantes de Argentina, Chile, Guatemala y Paraguay; en total 8 bandas en competencia en semifinales. Además asistieron artistas y bandas invitadas de Argentina, Brasil, Indonesia, Inglaterra y Uruguay.

La Semana Beatle de Latinoamérica, desde el 2001 es el evento más importante del continente que convoca a bandas tributo a The Beatles para competir por dos cupos para participar en el evento Beatle más importante del mundo: el International Beatleweek Festival que se celebra en la ciudad natal de The Beatles: Liverpool, Reino Unido.
